About

We live
here.

That changes everything.

Most Marrakech guides are written by people who visited once, ate at the restaurants that answered their press inquiry, and left before the tourist season ended. The Kech Edit is not that.

We live here, we eat here, we work here. We know which rooftop has a view worth the price and which one is trading on a photo from 2019. We know which hammam is genuinely traditional and which one exists to separate tourists from their money as quickly as possible. We know the streets that don't make it into the guidebooks — not because they're secret, but because no one is paid to mention them.

That knowledge has a flip side. The places that don't appear in your program are not omissions. They are decisions. Every recommendation we make is something we would send a friend to. Everything else stays off the list — regardless of who asks, who pays, or who follows up.

No commissions. No paid placements. No affiliate arrangements. The business model is simple: a useful service, free to use, built on the conviction that honest recommendations are worth more than sponsored ones.

How recommendations are made

Every venue in our selection has been tested, assessed, and approved by people who actually live in Marrakech — and who come back on their own time.

No artificial rankings, no passing trends, no favoritism. A venue stays in the guide as long as it holds the standard. If it drops, it's out. If something new earns its place, it goes in.

The result is a selection that reflects the real Marrakech of today — not a version frozen by a past trip or shaped by a marketing campaign.

In short

We know where to go. We know what to avoid. And only the places that are genuinely worth your time make it into your program.
